Spiti Valley 8 Nights 9 Days Itinerary from Chandigarh to Chandigarh : Balaji Incredible

Day 1: Chandigarh to Narkanda

  • Distance: 170 km (Approx. 7-8 hours)

  • Departure Time: Early morning from Chandigarh (around 6:00 AM).

  • Route: Chandigarh -> Solan -> Kasauli -> Narkanda

  • Highlights:

    • En route stop at Kasauli for scenic views and a quick break.

    • Arrival at Narkanda, a quaint hill station nestled in the Shivalik Hills, famous for apple orchards and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

    • Evening at leisure to explore or relax.

  • Overnight: Stay at a hotel or guesthouse in Narkanda.

Day 2: Narkanda to Sangla

  • Distance: 160 km (Approx. 6-7 hours)

  • Route: Narkanda -> Rampur -> Jeori -> Sangla

  • Highlights:

    • Depart from Narkanda after breakfast and head toward Rampur (also known for its history and beautiful scenery).

    • Continue to Jeori, then make your way to Sangla, a picturesque village in the Kinnaur Valley.

    • Scenic views of the Baspa River and apple orchards.

    • Explore the beautiful Sangla Valley, famous for its stunning landscapes.

  • Overnight: Stay at a hotel or homestay in Sangla.

Day 3: Sangla – Chitkul – Kalpa

  • Distance: 90 km (Approx. 4-5 hours)

  • Route: Sangla -> Chitkul -> Kalpa

  • Highlights:

    • Early morning departure for Chitkul, the last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibetan Border.

    • Visit the charming Chitkul Village, famous for its pristine surroundings and traditional wooden homes.

    • Head to Kalpa, offering stunning views of Kinnaur Kailash mountain range.

    • Explore the Kalpa Monastery and the surrounding village.

Day 4: Kalpa – Nako – Gue – Tabo

  • Distance: 160 km (Approx. 7-8 hours)

  • Route: Kalpa -> Nako -> Gue -> Tabo

  • Highlights:

    • Early morning departure for Nako Village, famous for its tranquil lake and beautiful landscapes.

    • Visit the Nako Monastery and the sacred lake.

    • Continue to Gue, where you can visit the famous Gue Monastery and see the naturally preserved mummy of a Buddhist Lama.

    • Proceed to Tabo, home to the ancient Tabo Monastery, which dates back over a thousand years and is often called the "Ajanta of the Himalayas."

  • Overnight: Stay at a guesthouse or hotel in Tabo.

Day 5: Tabo – Pin Valley – Kungri – Mudh – Kaza

  • Distance: 130 km (Approx. 6-7 hours)

  • Route: Tabo -> Pin Valley -> Kungri -> Mudh -> Kaza

  • Highlights:

    • Visit Pin Valley National Park, famous for its rich biodiversity and remote beauty.

    • Stop at the Kungri Monastery (Pin Valley) and take a short hike around the area.

    • Drive to Mudh, a charming village in the Pin Valley, known for its scenic views and traditional homes.

    • Arrive in Kaza, the largest town in Spiti Valley.

  • Overnight: Stay in a hotel or guesthouse in Kaza.

Day 6: Kaza – Langza – Hikkim – Komik – Ki Monastery – Kibber – Chicham – Kaza

  • Distance: 100 km (Approx. 6-7 hours)

  • Route: Kaza -> Langza -> Hikkim -> Komik -> Ki Monastery -> Kibber -> Chicham -> Kaza

  • Highlights:

    • Visit Langza, a small village known for its fossil-rich terrain and panoramic views of the Himalayan range.

    • Head to Hikkim, which boasts the world’s highest post office at 4,400 meters above sea level.

    • Explore Komik, another high-altitude village, and learn about the culture and history of the Spiti Valley.

    • Visit the famous Ki Monastery, perched on a hilltop, offering breathtaking views of the valley.

    • Visit Kibber, one of the highest motorable villages in the world, and take a stop at Chicham Bridge, one of the highest bridges in Asia.

    • Return to Kaza by evening.

  • Overnight: Stay in Kaza.

Day 7: Kaza – Dhankar – Dhankar Lake Hike (Optional) – Kaza

  • Distance: 70 km (Approx. 4-5 hours)

  • Route: Kaza -> Dhankar -> Kaza

  • Highlights:

    • Early morning departure for Dhankar, known for its ancient monastery perched on a cliff.

    • Optionally, take a hike to Dhankar Lake (Approx. 2-3 hours) for panoramic views of the Spiti Valley and surrounding mountains.

    • Explore the Dhankar Monastery, a site of historical and cultural significance.

    • Return to Kaza for an overnight stay.

  • Overnight: Stay in Kaza.

Day 8: Kaza to Rampur

  • Distance: 190 km (Approx. 7-8 hours)

  • Route: Kaza -> Reckong Peo -> Rampur

  • Highlights:

    • Depart from Kaza and head back through the scenic Reckong Peo.

    • Enjoy the beautiful landscapes along the way.

    • Arrive in Rampur, a small town in the Shimla district.

  • Overnight: Stay in a hotel or guesthouse in Rampur.

Day 9: Rampur to Chandigarh

  • Distance: 150 km (Approx. 6-7 hours)

  • Route: Rampur -> Solan -> Chandigarh

  • Highlights:

    • After breakfast, start your journey back to Chandigarh.

    • Arrive in Chandigarh by evening, marking the end of your Spiti Valley adventure.

Inclusions:

  • Accommodation: Comfortable hotels or guesthouses for all nights based on twin sharing.

  • Meals: Breakfast and dinner at the accommodation (lunch can be provided en route).

  • Transport: Private vehicle (Innova, Tempo Traveller, or similar) for the entire trip / Based on selection.

  • Driver: Experienced and knowledgeable driver.

  • Guides: Local guides for cultural and trekking activities (where applicable).

  • Permits: Inner Line Permits for restricted areas.

  • Sightseeing: Entry tickets to monasteries and attractions as mentioned in the itinerary.

Cancellation Policy

At Balaji Incredible, we understand that plans may change, and we want to offer flexibility while ensuring a smooth process for both our clients and the company. In case you need to cancel a confirmed booking, please refer to the following cancellation policy:

  1. Advance Payment:

    • A minimum of 50% advance payment is required to confirm and secure the booking for the Services and/or Activities.

    • The remaining balance must be paid one month prior to the start date of the tour.

  2. Non-Payment of Balance:

    • If the balance payment is not made one month before the scheduled start of the Services and/or Activities, the company reserves the right to cancel the booking, and no refund will be offered.

  3. Cancellation by the Client:

    • If you wish to cancel your confirmed booking, please notify us by sending an email to hello@balajiincredible.com with the subject line "Cancellation Request."

    • The cancellation fee will be applied based on the intimation period (i.e., the number of days before the tour is scheduled to start).

  • Refund Process: Once the cancellation request is received, the company will process the refund within 7-10 working days. The refund will be made via the same mode of payment used for the booking.

Price Revision:

  • The prices for Services and/or Activities may be revised due to unforeseen circumstances such as changes in taxes, fuel rates, or other external factors. In case of any price revision before the tour starts, the client will be notified in advance. The client will have the option to accept the revised price or cancel the booking with the applicable cancellation fees.
